    Owl* #4 = 73
    WuShock = 75

    Let's Go Shockers!!!

    * Yeah, yeah, yeah --- I know they are the 49'ers, but they were the Owls' previously, because they were a night school only.

I think we'll find out if this team has packed their bags for the off season or for a road game. I think the first is more likely. Hell, right now UTSA and Rice have more to hang their hats on than the Shox.

In boat racing terms, the Shox could resemble one of those speed boats that become ariborne and flip over backwards.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Shake things up. HB, Rogers, Joy, KP and QB. Germany spells QB, IA spells KP, XB spells HB. Limit dribbling, pass quickly, QB and KP screen for each other side to side down low constantly posting up, get the ball INSIDE to one or the other, crash the boards, play zone keeping both bigs steadily within seven feet of the basket, slow the pace and take care of the ball.

I think you give too much credit in power to airborne the boat. More like sucking in water to kill the engine.

Nothing could be finer than to beat the 49ers in Carolina. Just last Sunday the Chiefs were slight underdogs but won in OT. Some similarities of the 49ers and Shocks are that we both have new coaches. Preseason, they were picked 9th and us 8th in Lindy's Mag. The similarities end there because Charlotte are winning the close games that they should and have performed above expectations. They did beat FLA by 2, ESU by 15, and N. Texas by 12. However, SMU and Liberty both defeated them by 12.

Charlotte has a 1-2 punch led by L.Patterson outside averaging 14.6 ppg and Millicic on the inside.

Here's the deal. The disappointing loss at ECU left a bad taste in everyone's mouth in Shocker country. This is a winnable game but would require much more mental toughness than we are witnessing. So far, Charlotte has found ways to win close games. Are the Shocks folding up the tent for this Season or rising above all of their own obstacles plaguing them all Season?

Here goes. Just as the Chiefs beat the odds a week ago Sunday, the Shocks also win in OT by 3 as X. Bell hits a 3 at the buzzer.

              Shocks 80

              49ers. 77
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Sadly I am making the trip to Charlotte from Wichita to see this one. Never seen much of the east coast.

How are people still picking them to win?

Son of a *****! The Shox are on real TV Sunday, and I'll be driving back from KC. Maybe be in radio range for the second half (usually our best half)

You could probably stream the radio broadcast on your phone (barring shoddy coverage in the Flint Hills of course).
